Dr. Rae St. Clair Bridgman is a Professor in the Department of City Planning, at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is a registered member of the Manitoba Professional Planners Institute (MPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).

Known for her ethnographic studies of homelessness in Canada, youth homelessness and innovative models for rehousing the homeless, her current research and teaching interests focus on child-friendly cities and architectural & building toys. She is a visual artist with many arts grants and exhibitions to her name.

She is also co-director of the Winnipeg design studio BridgmanCollaborative Architecture, an author and illustrator of kids' fantasy-adventure books, and she enjoys playing tuba in several community bands and Winnipeg's first all-women brass quintet - Classy Brass.
